Fraraccio "Sfilato Caccia" Small – Extractors Caliber 12 and 16 – Black ABS – 420 INOX Category Catawiki Collection knives – Italian traditional knives – Handcrafted knife making from Frosolone Description Up for auction is this elegant and rare Fraraccio Sfilato Caccia in a compact version, handcrafted in the early 2000s by Michele Fraraccio, belonging to one of the most prestigious families of the Frosolone knife-making tradition. The Sfilato Caccia is one of the most representative models of Molisan and Italian traditional cutlery. Born as a practical pocket knife intended for hunters and outdoor enthusiasts, it has over time become a symbol of the rural culture of central-southern Italy. This specimen preserves all the typical characteristics of the traditional model: elegant brass guard, slender blade, and above all the classic cartridge extractors for calibers 12 and 16, a distinctive element of real Italian hunting knives. The handle is made of glossy black ABS, a material widely used in Fraraccio productions from the early 2000s for its robustness and durability over time. The blade is made of 420 INOX steel, corrosion-resistant and ideal for practical use as well as for collecting. Although conceived as a hunting knife, the Sfilato Caccia has for generations been an inseparable companion of outdoor convivial moments, used during rural lunches, hikes, country celebrations, and gatherings with friends. This dual hunting and social nature has secured its success with several generations of enthusiasts. An elegant, authentic knife strongly tied to Italian tradition.
