Spectacular art book / graphic zine with a mechanical system, a fold-out, entirely printed in full-color silkscreen, depicting a labyrinthine house whose various panels and openings reveal a multitude of rooms and scenes: studio, laboratory, darkroom, catacombs, swimming pool, library, gym, mortuary, bar, auditorium, secret passages, etc. Closed dimensions approximately 19.5 × 36 cm. On the back: a printed label filled out by hand: “Project Director: Franky Ravi Gore” “Nature of the work: 150 copies” “Completion date: December ’97” Original Marseille edition published by Le Dernier Cri, printed in a limited run of only 150 copies. A specialized bibliography on graphzines confirms the following details: Franky Ravi Gore, *Ma maison*, Marseille, Le Dernier Cri, 1997, color silkscreen print, edition of 150 copies, 19.5 × 36 cm. This is a much more interesting piece than its playful appearance might suggest: a French alternative publication, screen-printed, an artist’s book with a mechanical mechanism, and a very small print run. When unfolded, the object is particularly spectacular. A complete copy with all its numerous movable panels, featuring a few minor marks, scuffs, and signs of wear consistent with normal handling of the object.
