Fr. 2201-Gdgs. 1934 Dark Green Seal $500 Federal Reserve Note. Chicago.

Fr. 2201-Gdgs. 1934 Dark Green Seal $500 Federal Reserve Note. Chicago. PMG Very Fine 30. No doubt a handsome example for the grade assigned. This decidedly mid-grade $500 Federal Reserve Note from the Chicago district does offer more than simply the grade assigned by PMG. Here bold color sets the aesthetic stage while crisp detail evocative of the day this note was printed helps evoke a contrast that goes beyond what one would expect of a circulated note regardless of the type or denomination. Yet for the collector who has long dreamt of finding a $500 Federal Reserve Note for themselves, it takes little to figure that this very note is not merely a solid candidate, but also an opportunity to be had. Estimate: $2,000 - $2,400. Click here for certification details from PMG.
