全部拍賣 / Ethnographic / Fossil wood - Fossilised wood - 20 cm - 22 cm (No reserve price)
Unique Table Clock of Fossilized Wood (20 cm) - Indonesian / Madagascar Fossil Wood with Japanese Movement - ≈ 20 Million Years Offered is a stunning and unique table clock, crafted from a solid disk of authentic fossilized wood (fossil wood). This extraordinary piece of natural history is estimated to be about 20 million years old, formed in an era when prehistoric trees slowly transformed into solid quartz rock through a multi-million-year mineralization process. The object displays an exceptionally beautiful natural contrast: a deep, dark core surrounded by warm iron tones of brown and ochre, beautifully framed by a light fossil bark edge. Every growth ring and cell structure of the original trunk has been flawlessly preserved. The front is finely polished to a stunning mirror finish, while the edges retain their natural, rugged texture. The back is equipped with a high-quality and extremely reliable Japanese quartz movement from the manufacturer Rhythm (Utsunomiya), mounted on a sturdy and stable gold-colored metal stand. Specifications: Material: 100% Authentic Fossilized Wood (crystallized quartz/agate/chalcedony). Fully natural mineral, no resin. Width of stone disk: ≈ 20 cm Height (including stand): ≈ 20.5 cm Movement: Premium Japanese Quartz movement (Rhythm, Utsunomiya, Japan). Operates on 1x AA battery. Indices: Luxurious, applied gold- and black-colored hour markings with accompanying gold hands. Condition: In excellent condition. The polished stone surface is free of deep scratches or damage. The movement has been fully tested and runs perfectly. A heavy, luxurious and timeless focal point that fits perfectly in an exclusive interior, a mineral collection, or a cabinet of curiosities. The lot will be packed with the utmost care and security in thick layers of bubble wrap and shipped with tracking.
