Exquisite sculptural ice bucket in the shape of an owl, designed by Italian designer Mauro Manetti for the renowned Florence-based Fonderia d'Arte in the 1960s. An absolute icon of Italian Mid-Century Modern design. The piece stands out for the detailed chiseling on the owl's plumage and head. The original versions produced by Manetti in the 1960s featured an inner metal vessel as shown. Preserves the original inner aluminum liner/container, a key element in this type of piece. Base: original casting marks and seals engraved in the mold, monogram M/M, MOD. RIS. (Reserved Model), model number 21/001 and the legend MADE IN ITALY with its distinctive circular shield. Features a beautiful argent finish with an attractive patina No structural deformations. Small paint/finish gap on the edge with detail of condition; provided with a set of photos that also form part of the condition description.
