[First Edition] A General History of Music

Cipriani and E.F. Burney, engraved frontispiece portrait in Volume IV by F. Bartolozzi after Sir Joshua Reynolds, and nine additional plates, two of which are folding, one of which is an etching of an Egyptian Musical Instrument, the other a musical sheet of an ancient Hebrew chant. Additional engraved musical illustrations, instruments and musicians throughout text. son. I'll include a photo of the original insert by Heritage so you'll be assured you ar buying a superior copy of this classic.
