Fine Vintage Ring with Jade & Diamonds in White Gold, circa 1965

Real jade, known as jadeite jade, is considered one of the most desirable gemstones, especially in China. It is believed that jade brings health, success and a long life in harmony with nature - which is why good jade is often worth its weight in gold. A life without a piece of jade jewellery is still unthinkable in large parts of the Chinese population today. Jade is said to convey a sense of balance in life and bring harmony, beauty and happiness to the wearer's consciousness. A round cabochon of polished jadeite of a beautiful green colour forms the centerpiece of this ring. This is so-called "A" jade, i.e. jade that is untreated apart from the usual polishing of the surface with wax. The ring itself is made of white gold and, thanks to its hallmark, we can say that it was created in Germany. A total of 16 beautiful diamonds are grouped around the jade as an entourage and fine bars adorn the underside of the white gold ring. The ring was probably created in the 1960s. We discovered it in Hamburg. A detailed certificate from the German Gemstone Appraisal Society is supplied with the ring and confirms the naturalness of the jade.
