Doll 1 – Dutch-Style Lady with Black Hat – Germany – No. 7050 A particularly striking and unusual porcelain half doll depicting an elegant Dutch-style lady wearing a large black hat, a vibrant orange-red shawl and a white blouse decorated with a blue bow. Her finely modelled face features delicate painted eyes, rosy cheeks and softly sculpted hair. One hand rests against her chest while the other is positioned gracefully at her waist. The unusually large black hat, distinctive costume and expressive pose make this a particularly appealing example.
