A complete artist, at once a specialized decorator (trained at the Opéra de Bordeaux and with the Compagnons du devoir) and a painter, he first trains in audiovisual techniques, and more specifically in photography. Later, the artist pursues a rich and diverse apprenticeship in the visual arts. Skilled in mastering the full range of pictorial techniques, from classical painting to trompe l’œil, his personal art reveals itself in the execution of an original contemporary figurative painting, imbued with dreamlike imagery. However, Fabien Delaube turns toward oil painting, which he enjoys layering to perfect the finish of all his works. Mysterious figures. The artist likes painting human bodily features, more or less discernible, and these recall forms inspired by African masks or other faces borrowed from the histories of theatre or the military. . By attempting to decipher the 'scars' of color and material with which their faces are partially or wholly covered, one could almost unearth their history.
