A decidedly luxurious sight is offered by this necklace, a total of thirty-one impressive South Sea pearls with wonderful luster are individually knotted in the course and thus form a slightly silvery shimmering round. South Sea pearls of this quality are among the most precious and largest cultured pearls ever. Thus, these pearls with a diameter of up to 1.5 centimeters are a real eye-catcher. Their white base colour shows an iridescent overlay in a light platinum tone, making the necklace suitable for a variety of wardrobes. No less luxurious is the large decorative clasp that completes the piece of jewellery. Twenty-five old European cut diamonds weighing over five carats form a glittering blossom here. The clasp is much older than the necklace and was made in the 1870s. Typical of the time, the diamonds are set in silver settings, while the reverse side is made of high-carat gold. Probably in the years of the turn of the millennium it was combined with the pearls to this piece of jewellery. Pearl necklaces are classics whose beauty will never go out of fashion. With its length of 44.5 cm, this necklace can be worn effectively on many occasions. We have had an independent appraisal made by the German Association for Gemstone Evaluation Idar-Oberstein, which confirms the quality of this dreamlike piece of jewellery.
