Picturesque interior with chicks, in the center of the composition a seated peasant girl plucking a flower as an oracle of love. Very atmospheric, cheerful, narrative genre scene with characterful, lively portrayals of characters. In terms of motif and style, a work that is representative of Zampighi, who was one of the most important Italian genre painters of his time.
