Enzo Finocchiaro (1912-1992) - Barconi a Viareggio

Painting dimensions: about 63 x 78 cm Oil on faesite Signed bottom left On the back several labels (see photo) Provenance: private collection An additional photocopy of a show where a similar work was presented to “Barconi a Viareggio” is included Biography A pupil in Tuscany of Cipriano Mannucci and Primo Conti, from the former he derived the elegiac mood of the countryside and from the latter the inclination toward twentieth‑century research. He lived mainly in Genoa, where his painting was also influenced by the achievements of the major Ligurian protagonists, for example Emanuele Rambaldi: his works, in fact, conveyed that post-Impressionist naturalism that brought light and color to the most delicate formal interpenetrations of painting. He participated in important Italian group exhibitions, among them Arte Sacra at the Angelicum in Milan (1946), the Quadrivium of Milan, and the Biennale d’Arte Città di Genova (1975), as well as the Ligurian Contemporary Art Exhibition (masters and students) organized by the Municipality of Genoa at the Palazzo Ducale in 1980. Frame as a gift: no claims about its condition will be entertained For purchases outside the EU, shipping times may be long due to the documents required for exporting artworks over 70 years old. It is not advised to place bids for shipments to non-EU countries.
