Elegant Déco-Inspired Diamond Earrings From Our Workshop

"Delicate pendulums of light" is probably the best way to describe these earrings from our workshop. A shining white pendulum is attached under a yellow gold ear hoop. One larger brilliant cut diamond occupies the center of the design. Four smaller brilliant cut diamonds add sparkling highlights. We had this pair of earrings made in our workshop in a small edition. After all, earrings are the most difficult of all antique pieces of jewellery to find. We took our inspiration from Art Deco designs. The workmanship with shining white sides and details in yellow gold, shadow gaps and fine milgrains is also based on historical models. Pendant earrings were probably the most typical form of Art Deco jewellery alongside large rings that covered an entire phalanx of the finger and the dress clip. They were just coming back into fashion at the time, after many years of dominance by small stud earrings, dormeuses or even bare earlobes. The earrings were intended not least to emphasize the new bob hairstyles, the hallmark of a new, emancipated type of woman. These earrings are therefore exemplary of the golden 1920s, a time of upheaval and innovation. We used sustainable materials in the manufacture of the earrings. The high-carat gold was obtained from older pieces of jewellery, as were the diamonds.
