Murrine Millefiori – Pair of artistic Murano glass glasses Precious pair of glasses made entirely by hand in Murano according to one of the most iconic and fascinating techniques of Venetian glassmaking: the Millefiori Murrine technique. The production requires a long, entirely artisanal process. The individual murrine are prepared and selected manually, then laid one by one on a large processing plate according to a composition studied by the master glassmaker. They are then heated until they reach the temperature necessary for the master to gather and fuse them into the incandescent glass, shaping the glass directly by hand. It is precisely this workmanship that makes each piece unique: the arrangement of the murrine, the colors, the shades and the small variations in the glass can never be reproduced in perfectly identical fashion. The two glasses thus form a coordinated pair, but each retains its own identity and a unique composition. The numerous floral and multicolored murrine create a rich, luminous, decorative effect, turning these glasses into true glass art objects in Murano glass, precious both to use and to display in a collection. The presence of slight differences, small irregularities or variations in the shape and distribution of the murrine is characteristic of manual workmanship and represents the authentic value of Murano craftsmanship.
