Doria - Biscuit box (3) - Iron, tin boxes for cookies

Lot of three tin cookie boxes with decorated enamel – Italy, first half of the 20th century A fascinating set of three tin cookie boxes, small, retro-looking chests that tell the charm of packaging from a bygone era: objects designed to hold sweets and later preserved for the beauty of their decorations. The three boxes feature a rectangular shape with rounded corners, decorated lids and distinctive arched metal handles, giving them the appearance of small baskets. Each piece stands out for a different subject: a rich floral composition, a bright landscape with trees, and a tender scene with a child and his dog, framed by turquoise tones. The decorations continue on the sides, with motifs reminiscent of interlacings and ornamental patterns. Attributed to the Italian first half of the 20th century, they form a lot of particular interest to enthusiasts of tin boxes and vintage packaging. They are also evocative decorative elements for a vintage kitchen, a sideboard, or a display cabinet. Dimensions of each box: about 20 × 30 cm; height 9 cm, excluding the handles. They show signs of use, wear to the decoration, and visible oxidation, which characterize their lived-in appearance. The photographs are an integral part of the description and allow assessing their condition. The lot includes all three illustrated boxes. Careful packaging and trackable shipping within Europe.
