Door handle - 1960-1970 - Pair of large handles for...

Pair of large vintage handles in cast aluminum – Model G/002 – 1960s/1970s produced in Italy or Germany Splendid and exceptional pair of large architectural handles in full Mid-Century Modern style, dating to the period spanning the 1960s and 1970s. The handles are made of heavy cast aluminum, finished on the front with a rich sculptural relief texture in an asymmetric geometric pattern that recalls the abstract works of the modernist avant-garde of the period. On the back of each piece the foundry mark is clearly visible with the model code G/002. Thanks to their substantial size and striking visual impact, these elements were used as representative handles for entrance gates, large designer sliding doors, or to customize designer furniture and high-modernist pieces. The lot includes both handles complete with their original metal mounting backplates (firmly fixed with screws on the back), ready to install. Period: 1960s / 1970s Style: Abstract, Modernist Material: Cast aluminum, gray color Markings: Back printed code "G/002" Quantity: 2 pieces (pair) Single handle dimensions: Length: 20 cm Height: 11 cm Total depth (including plate): 3.5 cm Excellent vintage condition with minor signs of time (slight scratches on the edge as shown in photos) The items display a beautiful patina consistent with age and use, which enhances their rugged sculptural character typical of Brutalist design. No structural cracks or significant defects. The rear mounting plates are intact and functional. Please view the photos carefully, as they are an integral part of the description. Professional and tracked shipping NOTE: For sale are another 2 pairs with the same relief patter
