Walt Disney – Mickey Mouse & Donald Duck – Complete Set of 6 Books with Original Display Case – Mulder & Zoon, Amsterdam – 1949 A beautiful and rare vintage Walt Disney set published in the Netherlands by Mulder & Zoon N.V., Amsterdam, in 1949. The set comprises all six small books in the series, preserved with their original Walt Disney illustrated display case/box. The books feature attractive color covers with Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck and black and white illustrations inside. The inside covers bear the references for series 712 A–F, the publisher Mulder & Zoon N.V., Amsterdam, and the original price of ƒ 0.95. The original display case retains the inscription "Walt Disney" on the front and a large illustration of Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and Pluto on the back. Condition: Original period set with visible signs of age and use. The books show wear on edges, corners, and spines, minor losses and deterioration of the paper, and some loose or detached pages/signatures. Interior paper is naturally browned with age. The display case shows considerable wear, rubbing, losses, warping, and old repairs with tape. Despite these flaws, the set retains great visual appeal, especially the six volumes together with their rare original display case. The set is sold exactly as shown in the photographs.
