DKT Nando - Think in apples - Framed Mixed Media Art

● Original Framed Mixed Media Artwork and painted art Intervention | Unique Edition “THINK IN APPLES” is an original mixed media artwork featuring a digital collage printed on canvas and individually hand-finished with a squeezer marker and red acrylic paint. The composition combines a traditional still life arrangement of apples with iconic retro Apple technology, including a classic Macintosh computer and an iPod, creating a visual mash-up between classical imagery and contemporary technological culture. The bold red lettering adds an expressive street art intervention, transforming the printed image into a unique pop art artwork. Dimensions: 55 × 45 cm. Frame width: 4.5 cm. Depth: 3 cm. As an original vintage frame, it retains subtle signs of age and minor irregularities in some areas, barely perceptible and only noticeable upon close inspection, consistent with its character and age. It is individually signed on the reverse and accompanied by a physical certificate of authenticity. ⸻ In “Think in Apples”, the traditional still life genre is reimagined through the lens of retro technology and Apple's iconic visual legacy. A collection of apples shares the scene with a vintage Macintosh computer and an iPod, merging the conventions of classical still life painting with the objects that helped define the digital age. The bold red lettering, applied by hand, introduces an urban visual language inspired by street art and graffiti, creating a striking contrast with the carefully arranged composition. By bringing together classical still-life imagery, nostalgic technology and expressive graffiti style intervention, the artwork creates a playful pop art mash-up that celebrates Apple's cultural influence while questioning how everyday objects become symbols of identity, status and desire. The title adds a conceptual twist, transforming the familiar phrase “think different” into a humorous tribute to Apple culture and the enduring appeal of its iconic devices. ⸻ ● About the Artist Nando López (Barcelona) is the founder of Dikhotomy, an artistic project dedicated to exploring how images change meaning when they are relocated into new cultural contexts.
