Desk lamp - Brass, Steel

This is an Italian table lamp from the 1950s/60s, in the style they call 'Diabolo' / Stilnovo - brass and a mushroom shade lacquered red. What you have is typical of Angelo Lelii for Arredoluce or Stilnovo / Oscar Torlasco - heavy brass base with a black Bakelite insert, a curved gooseneck stem and a two-tone cap brass + red. Original white toggle switch. Details I can see from the photos: • it works (third photo on, warm, nicely diffused light) • brass with its original patina, not mirror-polished -> good, it’s worth more this way • red shade with a couple of chips on the edge, normal for 65-70 years • the fabric cord is gold-colored and has been redone The lamp is a true jewel of the 50s and is in good condition and functioning. The photos are an integral part of the descriptio
