Desk lamp - Brass - Piano lamp

Very beautiful desk lamp / piano lamp, originating from the Netherlands, from the 1920s or 1930s of the last century. The lamp is 40 cm high (highest position) and the length of the lampshade is 32 cm. The base measures 14.5 cm by 8.5 cm. The weight is about 1.2 kg. This lamp is very functional with a very wide light distribution. The shade can rotate from front to back and also tilt upward, and the arm can be bent up and down (see photos). When this lamp is used as a piano lamp, it can stand on a piano and be bent completely forward (see photos). In this way the lamp illuminates the music piece. To push this to the limit, the base would need to be counterbalanced (for example with a piece of lead under the base). Due to the narrow shade, the light beam is limited to the plane of the music piece. For the same reason, this lamp shape is also used as a picture lamp. Also very beautiful is the still original light switch on the base, which makes two small lamps light up. This lamp is a jewel in any interior! The lamp will be carefully packaged and shipped insured.
