全部拍賣 / Miscellaneous / Decorative ornament - France - Jaguar Notary Office
This distinguished decorative writing desk accessory from the second half of the 20th century combines the elegance of modern design with the sophistication characteristic of decorative arts inspired by the luxury of French haute décor and international glamour. The piece is composed of an oval base made of transparent material, elegantly polished, upon which a dynamic figure of a jaguar in gilded brass is arranged, accompanied by two side displays or supports for notes, cards or small documents. The main feature of the set is the central feline, depicted in mid-leap with a streamlined forward-leaning posture that conveys power, speed, and movement. Its purified, aerodynamic lines recall the sculptural models spread by Art Deco, where exotic animals symbolized modernity, power, and refinement. The golden surface of the brass accentuates the simplified musculature of the body, creating attractive reflections that emphasize its sculptural presence. On either side of the composition there are two elegant metal supports intended to display business cards, small photographs, notes, or reminders. Their sharp, stylized design maintains the aesthetic coherence of the piece, providing visual balance and functionality. The combination of the transparency of the base and the warm brilliance of the gilded brass generates an appealing materials contrast that contributes to a sense of lightness and luxury. This type of desk accessories, conceived for offices, libraries, or distinguished work tables, reflect the taste for functional decorative objects that characterized much of mid-20th-century design. Elegant, sculptural, and practical, this writing desk accessory stands out both for its usefulness as a desktop organizer and for its decorative value. Its jaguar figure, a symbol of energy, sophistication, and exclusivity, makes the piece an attractive complement for Art Deco, Hollywood Regency, contemporary, or eclectic interiors, bringing personality and a strong decorative character to any desk or library. Tracked shipping and careful packaging.
