Description Original sculptural centerpiece designed by David Marshall, renowned for his decorative and sculptural creations that combine metals with a brutalist appearance. The piece features a wide circular bowl of dark ceramic, with an irregular textured surface and artisanal finish, on which rises a striking abstract composition of golden brass. The central element, with curved and asymmetrical shapes, constitutes an authentic sculpture that provides movement, verticality, and a strong visual contrast with the sobriety of the ceramic. Its design blends Brutalist and Art Deco influences, characteristics of many David Marshall decorative creations from the late 20th century. Thanks to its generous 35 cm diameter, it can be used as a fruit bowl, a centerpiece, or a standalone sculptural piece. Identification and authenticity The bottom retains the original manufacturer’s label, with the inscription: DAVID MARSHALL – DISEÑOS, S.A. SEVILLA – SPAIN MADE IN SPAIN It also features a small metal identifying emblem inside the bowl. These elements allow identifying the piece as a creation marketed by the firm David Marshall Diseños. Condition report Good overall condition according to the photographs, with slight marks and surface variations typical of the materials and its age. The original identifying elements are preserved. A singular decorative piece, with notable sculptural presence, especially interesting for collectors of 20th-century design, brutalist objects, and vintage decorative arts.
