The Divine Comedy suite consists of 100 color wood engravings created between 1960 and 1964 after 100 watercolors painted by Salvador Dali between 1951 and 1960. At the height of his fame in 1957, more than a century after William Blake had done the same, Salvador Dalí began working on the series of 100 paintings based on Dante’s epic poem The Divine Comedy.
