Cyril Keller - Zeitmaschine

My name is Cyril Keller. I was born on September 12, 1978 in Saarland. My passion for art began in the early 1990s with graffiti. Even then colors, shapes and the possibility to give my ideas a personal expression fascinated me. This passion remains the foundation of my work to this day. What especially shaped me was my teacher and mentor, the artist Parscha Mirghawameddin. With him I learned to paint. His sense for colors, his eye for composition, and his artistic experience were of great importance for my development. As his student I could benefit from knowledge and a passion that accompany me to this day. I am very grateful to Parscha for sharing his experiences with me and for supporting me on my artistic path. Learning from him was a special opportunity for me. On this basis I developed my own visual language and found my personal approach to painting. Since 2015 I have been wholeheartedly devoted to abstract art. I am particularly fascinated by the squeegee technique: the interplay of color layers, the resulting structures, and the surprising forms that give each painting its own character. In doing so, the learned craft blends with intuition and the joy of experimentation. My paintings are meant to enliven spaces, evoke emotions, and give viewers lasting pleasure. Each work leaves room for one’s own thoughts and discoveries. It is precisely this openness that makes abstract painting so special for me: a painting can mean something different for every person and reveal new sides over time. With every canvas I develop my work further — carried by my artistic roots, the valuable impulses of my teacher, and the wish to create something of my own. The canvas is unstretched and is carefully rolled in a shipping tube. An authenticity certificate is included in the delivery.
