Crucifix - Silver - 1850-1900

Extraordinary silver crucifix, crafted in silver with repoussé and chasing work. It typically features the Body of Christ, with the cross fashioned in the form of a tree trunk, a radiating aureole with cherubs, and the skull with crossed bones (memento mori) at the base. Excellent Italian craftsmanship from the mid-19th century. Dimensions: 40 cm x 22 cm x 6 cm Good condition, with only one small dent on the bottom (highlighted in the photos). A chemical test with acid was carried out to confirm the silver’s authenticity (test shown in the photos) directly on the object and on the test stone. The item is cleaned and inspected before being professionally packed and shipped with insured and trackable delivery.
