Credenza - Wood - Trompe-l'œil sideboard

An attractive dresser with a unique character, where the tradition of furnishing meets painting art, transforming a functional piece of furniture into a decorative item with a great dramatic impact. We propose an elegant wooden dresser, characterized by a rich and original painted decoration created with the trompe-l'œil technique, painted entirely by hand. The entire front is adorned with evocative still lifes depicting antique objects, books, documents, and everyday-life accessories, skillfully arranged in perspective compositions that create a surprising illusion of depth. The painting, in warm ocher, brown, red and ivory tones, gives the furniture a nostalgic and refined atmosphere, evoking the charm of old studios and private libraries. Structure and features The dresser presents a solid traditional wooden structure, with a slightly overhanging top, an elegant lower molded fascia, and round wooden knobs. It is composed of five drawers, two upper adjacent ones and three large drawers below, offering considerable storage capacity. The sides retain a sober wooden finish, creating a pleasant contrast with the decorative richness of the front. Style and period The piece of furniture features traditional taste characteristics, with painted decoration inspired by classical still lifes. Exact dating is not documented, but the overall piece possesses an evident vintage charm. Particularly suitable for classic, country chic, elegant rustic, studies, libraries, and eclectic interiors, where it can become an authentic protagonist of the furnishings. Dimensions * Length: 160 cm * Depth: 48 cm * Height: 81 cm Condition The furniture is in good vintage condition, with normal signs of time and use, consistent with its nature. The painted decoration preserves colors well legible and a notable aesthetic impact. There are slight imperfections and traces of surface wear, as documented in the photographs. All five drawers are perfectly functional and open and close regularly. Collection and transport Pickup in person in Broni, province of Pavia, Lombardy, Italy.
