The surfaces of my works become skins that breathe, scar, erode and transform. They are sensitive maps where memories, marks, and silences are inscribed. The artwork features a youthful, winged figure depicted in an introspective, lowered pose. By combining classical biblical iconography with a modern, expressive handling of painting, the piece captures a deep sense of origin, vulnerability, and spiritual awakening. The central theme is rendered with academic precision, focusing on anatomy and a melancholic gaze directed at the viewer. The contrast between its expansive, feathered wings and its protective, curly stance balances grandeur with intimacy. A vibrant cobalt blue curtain serves as the chromatic anchor of the composition, strongly contrasting with the warm flesh tones bathed in sunlight. The background presents a chaotic, atmospheric mix of ethereal pinks, skylight blues, and earthy ochres, evoking a cosmic, formless void from which the figure emerges. The artist uses a heavy, textured brush across the entire background and the foreground plane.
