Commode - Art Deco dresser in walnut and brass - Burr walnut, Brass

Elegant Italian dresser dating from the 1950s, featuring a strong decorative presence and a refined Art Deco taste. The piece is enriched by a spectacular veneer in walnut burr, recognizable by its distinctive marquetry and the natural designs on the fronts of the drawers. The burr creates a visually rich and dynamic effect, enhanced by the wood’s brown-golden tone and the highly figured grain. The structure has six drawers, organized in two columns, with fronts decorated by elegant inlays and brass ornamental motifs, following the sinuous line of the burr. Particularly striking are the handles in gilded metal, with a floral and deliberately decorative shape, perfectly consistent with the furniture’s aesthetic. The profile features slightly shaped sides, highlighted vertical stiles, and tapered front legs, elements that give the piece a sense of lightness despite its substantial size. A piece with remarkable aesthetic impact, where the richness of the walnut burr dialogues with the brass elements to create an elegant and refined whole. An ideal dresser for a classic, Art Deco, or eclectic setting, yet capable of becoming a focal point even in a contemporary context. The piece has been oil and shellac polished, and shows normal signs of age and use. Measurements: L 143 cm D 52.5 cm H 80 cm Follow me on Instagram: salottoviennese Shipping via PROFESSIONAL courier.
