A collection of maritime ephemera dating from the early 1950s through 1980, including menus, passenger lists, promotional brochures, programs, and travel correspondence. The group represents several major shipping lines including Cunard, Holland-America, American Export Lines, Canadian Pacific, and the French Line. Featured items include a gala menu for the February 10, 1951 maiden voyage of the American Export Lines Independence Mediterranean cruise and a 1961 inaugural world cruise passenger list for the Holland-America Line flagship Rotterdam. Cunard Line materials include a red and white stateroom baggage tag for the Queen Mary, filled out in ink for a passenger named HARRY traveling first class from Cherbourg to New York, bearing a gray customs inspection sticker numbered 178267B. Also present is a color Cunard Programme for Today featuring a whimsical octopus illustration, a red M.V. Britannic brochure, and assorted passenger information booklets. Canadian Pacific and CP Rail items include 1975 Alaska cruise brochures for the T.E.V. Princess Patricia and a 1980 typed letter on Princess Patricia letterhead signed by B.R. Jackson, Manager of Cruise Marketing. Additional items include a menu for the M.V. Odessa under the Black Sea Shipping Co., mid-century M.V. Jamaica Queen brochures, and a French Line passenger list folder. Dimensions: See Desc.
