The wooden case of this oeil de boeuf or ossenoog consists of dark wood with a curved shape and brown-gold accents and is richly decorated with mother-of-pearl inlay worked into a decorative pattern. The timepiece is an eight-day French pendule clock and runs well. The clock must be wound once a week with a key through the holes in the dial.
