This collection traces the evolution of German clockwork mechanisms from the 1900s through the 1970s—an excellent choice for restorers! 1. Antique clock with an openwork brass movement (c. 1900–1930). Case: A traditional hand-carved wooden "chalet-style" housing, adorned with a motif of maple or oak leaves, featuring carved wooden hands and a dial with Roman numerals. Movement: An authentic pre-war, solid-brass mechanism with intricate, openwork plates—a rare and valuable piece from the first half of the 20th century. 2. Interwar-period clock with decorative elements and a count-wheel mechanism (c. 1920–1950). Case: A striking, expressive dial featuring Arabic numerals and a carved floral or star-shaped accent at the center. Movement: A robust brass mechanism equipped with a count wheel—a hallmark of mid-century German horology (associated with makers such as Hubert Herr or Hettich). 3. "Regula" cuckoo clock — Made in Germany (c. 1960–1980). Case: Features elaborate, high-relief carvings of birds and foliage in light-toned wood, complemented by gold-colored dial details.
