PREPARATION, SHIPMENT AND DELIVERY Each item is inspected, cleaned or sanitized using methods compatible with the materials and their preservation, then carefully packaged. Items may be stored in different warehouses: allow roughly 7–10 days for delivery, unless otherwise indicated in the order, for special destinations or customs delays. Shipping will occur under the terms provided by Catawiki and communicated for the order; the estimated delivery time does not extend the shipping term. Upon receipt, check the packaging. If there are dents, cuts, openings or breaks, ask the courier to note a specific reservation, when possible. The absence of a reservation, photographs or packaging does not automatically waive the consumer's non-derogable rights. ASSISTANCE AND REPORTS For any clarification or problem, contact us through the Catawiki order messaging, indicating the lot number and describing what you found. In case of damage, item not as described or missing content, report the issue promptly to Catawiki support, preferably immediately and in any case within the 3 days provided by the platform procedure, to enable complaint handling and possible suspension of payment. This operational term does not entail loss of the right of withdrawal or the legal warranty under applicable terms. CONSUMER WITHDRAWAL When the buyer acts as a consumer and the legal requirements are met, they may exercise the right of withdrawal without justification within 14 days of receiving the item, pursuant to Articles 52 et seq. of Legislative Decree 206/2005, subject to exceptions provided by law. The decision must be communicated to the seller by explicit declaration, also using the Catawiki procedure. The item must be returned within 14 days of withdrawal notification. For simple reconsideration, the direct cost of return is borne by the buyer, unless otherwise agreed. Amounts due by law will be reimbursed, including standard initial shipping costs; higher costs for a more expensive delivery chosen by the buyer are not refundable. The refund is made without undue delay and within legal terms, with the possibility of withholding until receipt of the item or proof of return, according to statutory provisions. Amounts collected directly by Catawiki are managed through the platform according to respective competencies, without prejudice to non-derogable rights. The buyer is responsible for any decrease in value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to verify the nature, characteristics and functioning of the item, within legal limits. LEGAL WARRANTY AND DEFECTS OF CONFORMITY In consumer sales the legal conformity warranty provided by Articles 128 et seq. of the Consumer Code applies, even for used goods, considering prior use and the contractually declared characteristics. The normal duration of liability is two years from delivery. For used goods, any reduction, not less than one year, applies only if validly agreed and permitted by applicable rules. If there is a defect of conformity, the consumer is entitled to remedies provided by law: repair or replacement, where practicable, or reduction of price or termination of the contract when appropriate. Our commercial preference is to resolve valid disputes by returning the item and providing a full refund where appropriate, rather than negotiating informal discounts. This preference does not exclude mandatory remedies, including price reduction. When return is due to a defect attributable to the seller, the necessary costs are borne by us in accordance with the law. Costs for other cancellation scenarios are determined by the cause of cancellation and applicable provisions. RETURNS, REPAIRS AND INTEGRITY OF THE ITEM Before carrying out repairs, restorations, adjustments or interventions by third parties, contact us to allow problem verification and agree on a solution. Unauthorised interventions may alter the original state, compromise assessments and affect liability for damages or defects caused by them. There is no automatic reimbursement for interventions commissioned to third parties. The buyer's non-derogable rights remain: unauthorised intervention does not by itself erase protection for defects independent of the intervention. The returned item must include the accessories and documents received and be protected with appropriate packaging. Please attach the order reference and, if available, a copy of the sales document. The original receipt is not the only acceptable means to prove purchase. EXTRA-EU SHIPMENTS AND CUSTOMS COMPLIANCE For destinations outside the EU, including the United Kingdom, Switzerland, China, Taiwan, Singapore and the United Arab Emirates, duties, taxes and customs clearance charges may apply according to the destination and order conditions. Amounts already collected by the platform should not be considered automatically due again. When necessary, tax or identifying data may be required for customs clearance. A passport number will be requested only if actually required under applicable rules or the carrier's or competent authority's documented instructions. We invite buyers to check import restrictions in advance. For items subject to special rules, including CITES or cultural property regulations, shipping remains subject to the legal possibility of export and import and to the necessary documents.
