Wondrous Near-Gem "Civilian" Tsao Kun Crown CHINA. Dollar, ND (1923). Tientsin Mint. PCGS MS-64. L&M-958; K-677; WS-0104. Tsao Kun in civilian attire/Proclamation of the Constitution commemorative. Housed in an older generation green PCGS holder (OGH), this highly impressive near-Gem "civilian" Dollar radiates with a level of charm and eye appeal that is RARELY encountered for the type. Enchanting steely gray hues dominate across both sides, with some olive and cobalt hints sprinkled in, as well as some goldenrod notes observed at the peripheries. Meanwhile, the luster abounds throughout the rather expansive fields, making this example a decided cut above the others more commonly encountered, and making it a premium piece that demands attention. Estimate: $60,000 - $80,000. Provenance: From the Charles “Cheech” Litman Collection. To view all items from the Charles “Cheech” Litman Collection, click here.
