Wondrous First Class Chang Hsi-Iuan Award Medal in Copper CHINA. Chang Hsi-Iuan/First Class Copper Medal, Year 1 (1912). Tientsin Mint. PCGS AU-53. L&M-938 (silver); K-pl. 191; cf. KMX-M520 (same); cf. WS-0128A (same). Signed "L. GIORGI". Diameter: 40mm. Obverse: Military bust facing slightly left; Reverse: Crossed and garlanded banners within wreath. Presenting astounding RARITY not only due to its type, but also its advanced, problem-free state of preservation, this example displays only a slight degree of wear and handling, with the surfaces remaining a fairly even pale brown in hue and with glints of brilliance evident among the protected areas. We note that the last such specimen in copper that we have offered was a rather problematic PCGS EF Details (with a good deal of rim damage), which realized a total of $15,600 in our May 2022 Hong Kong Auction (Lot # 54476). GIORGI"簽名版。直徑40毫米。正面：軍裝半身像微向左；反面：嘉禾內交叉旗幟綁有彩帶。此枚因其版別及無瑕的保存狀態而倍顯珍罕，僅見極輕微的磨損與經手痕跡，幣面呈相當均勻的淺棕色，凹陷處猶見光澤閃現。值得一提的是，我司上次上拍的銅質同版品為PCGS EF細節（幣緣損傷較多），於2022年5月香港拍賣（拍品編號54476）以15,600美元成交。
