The set is the Star Wars 3D Chess Game, also known as the "Schach" version or "Saga Edition". It was originally produced in 1999 by companies such as Character Games and A La Carte to celebrate the release of Episode I: The Phantom Menace, but including characters from across the entire original trilogy. Composition of the Set The game stands out for its use of 3D figurines instead of classic pieces, mounted on colored bases to distinguish the factions. 1. Light Faction (Rebels / Jedi) The pieces have a silver-colored base. King: Luke Skywalker Queen: Princess Leia Bishops: Obi-Wan Kenobi and Han Solo Knights: C-3PO and R2-D2 Rooks: Yoda and Chewbacca (or sometimes X-Wing in some variants) Pawns: Clone Trooper or Rebel soldiers 2. Dark Faction (Empire / Sith) The pieces have a gold-colored base.
