Charlton Heston - Ben-Hur - (1959) – Japanese B2...

Vintage Japanese theatrical re-release poster for William Wyler’s Ben-Hur, starring Charlton Heston, Stephen Boyd and Jack Hawkins. This striking design transforms the English title into a monumental stone structure, towering above an ancient statue and the film’s celebrated chariot race. A vivid yellow background, blue-toned lettering and deep red Japanese title give the composition a strong graphic presence. The poster also features an Academy Award statuette and Japanese text celebrating the film’s eleven Oscars. This design is associated with the Japanese theatrical revival around 1968. The date refers to the re-release campaign; the film itself was originally released in 1959.
