Charles II

Letter signed by Charles II of Savoy, Duke of Savoy and Prince of Piedmont, dated June 31, 1532. The document is written in brown ink on a laid paper sheet with a watermark. It bears on the verso a manuscript note for the recipient, as well as the brown trace of the wax seal, torn when the letter was originally opened. In this letter, the Duke of Savoy addresses his "very dear and well-beloved faithful adviser and chamberlain," the lord of Longecombe, and mentions administrative provisions and instructions related to the management of his states. - Dimensions: 19.4 x 18.7 cm - Condition: Generally good for a document of this period.
