Chair - Bamboo - Set of four vintage chairs

Set of 4 Vintage Bamboo & Rattan Dining Chairs – Upholstered Seats – 1980s Description Elegant set of four vintage bamboo and rattan dining chairs, dating from approximately the 1980s. The chairs feature a distinctive tall architectural backrest with a central ladder-shaped decoration, giving them a particularly elegant and decorative appearance. The frames are constructed from bamboo/rattan with carefully wrapped joints and curved supporting elements. The lower structure incorporates cross stretchers, providing both visual character and stability. Each chair is fitted with a comfortable light beige upholstered seat, creating an attractive contrast with the warm brown tones of the bamboo. The bamboo has developed a beautiful natural patina, with variations in colour and texture that emphasize the vintage character of the set. This type of furniture is characteristic of the renewed interest in bamboo, rattan and exotic-inspired interiors during the 1970s–1980s, and works particularly well in Hollywood Regency, Bohemian, Mediterranean or eclectic interiors. Period: circa 1980 Number of chairs: 4 Materials: Bamboo / rattan, textile upholstery Colour: Warm brown with beige upholstery Style: Vintage / Bamboo / Rattan / Hollywood Regency influence The four chairs are in good vintage condition with normal traces of age and use. Minor variations, marks and patina are consistent with their age and material. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form an integral part of the description. A decorative and increasingly sought-after set of four vintage bamboo dining chairs with an elegant tall-back design.
