Catherine Deneuve - Les Parapluies de Cherbourg...

Vintage Japanese theatrical re-release poster for Jacques Demy’s 1964 musical, starring Catherine Deneuve and Nino Castelnuovo, with music by Michel Legrand. This design combines a large portrait of Deneuve with the lovers beneath a lilac umbrella, a procession of umbrella-carrying figures and turquoise Japanese lettering. A striking Japanese interpretation of the film’s romantic atmosphere. This edition is generally catalogued as the 1972 Japanese re-release.
