Website: www.carlomirabasso.it Instagram: carlomirabasso_art *** In the Umbrian region, the cradle of the prerenaissance era, important for those early realistic sparks that sprang from nature and from those empirical forms of spatial representation, lives Carlo Mirabasso. A humble yet reflective artist who, intelligently, pairs a somewhat geometric and rhythmic way of painting with the primal expressiveness of the volumes of the medieval world, perhaps a cradle of all modern art to follow. A “delicate harmony” that in his works on panel, like the thirteenth-century altarpieces, between studies of a pre-Cubist matrix and vertical landscape sensibilities, completes itself in his painting techniques, almost marble-like; charged with a subtle material symbolism with a mural meaning in which the fresco technique resurfaces and, in that tranquility of places, dear to De Chirico, where space and time stop in the frame’s image, Mirabasso brings to the surface sensations of metaphysical memory. Text by Andrea Galante *** BIOGRAPHY Carlo Mirabasso was born in Tivoli in 1959. In 1979 he graduated from the Liceo Artistico Ripetta in Rome. In the 1980s and 1990s, besides painting, he worked in advertising graphics and illustration, collaborating with numerous advertising agencies and publishing houses. In the early 1990s he began painting his first metaphysical compositions, perfecting a personal painting technique on panel that would become fundamental for his research, tracing a path that would establish him as a professional artist. Since 1996 he has abandoned advertising graphics to devote himself exclusively to painting. He has participated in numerous exhibitions and has shown his works in Rome, Milan, Florence, Bari, Teramo, Potenza, Padua, Auckland (New Zealand), Marbella (Spain), Taipei (Taiwan). He lives and works in Bastia Umbra, Perugia. *** TECHNIQUE AND UNIQUENESS OF THE WORK Each painting by Carlo Mirabasso, a professional artist who has dedicated himself exclusively to painting since the 1990s, is entirely handmade, excluding the use of prints, reproductions, or other photomechanical techniques. The artist starts from a white and textured support (predominantly board or canvas) prepared by himself, then traces the image composition in pencil, letting the work evolve naturally. Subsequently, through the skilled use of the brush, Mirabasso creates textures, glazes, and depth typical of his metaphysical painting, using high-quality acrylic and ultrafine oil paints. Once finished, the work is protected with a transparent varnish of the highest quality, which, in addition to protecting it from external agents, gives the painting brightness and luminosity. Each work is a unique and unrepeatable piece. *** EXHIBITIONS 2026 Galleria Il Bargello - Siena 2025 "Balloons Over Italy"- International Art Centre, Auckland 2023 "Cubism VI Exhibition" - July 12 - International Art Centre, Auckland 2023 "Animals in Art" - International Art Centre, Auckland 2022 "MoaCasa" - Rome Fair with Galleria Editrice Latina 2022 Ravello - Villa Fraulo 2022 Casaidea - Rome Fair 2022 International Art Centre, Auckland 2020 Hay Hill Gallery, London 2020 "Italia Invited Artists", International Art Centre, Auckland 2019 "MoaCasa" - Rome Fair with Galleria Editrice Latina 2019 "Salone Internazionale del Mobile" - Milan 2019 "Casaidea" 2019 - Rome Fair with Galleria Editrice Latina 2019 Summer Salon - International Art Centre - Auckland 2018 "MoaCasa Ediz. 2018" - Rome Fair with Galleria Editrice Latina 2018 "Les Femmes" - Auckland 2018 "Casaidea" 2018 - Rome Fair with Galleria Editrice Latina 2018 "Luci sull'Arte" - Palazzo Genovese - Salerno 2017 "Italia Infinito Exhibition"- International Art Centre - Auckland 2017 "MoaCasa Ediz. 2017" - Rome Fair 2017 "Italian Art Exhibition" - Amalfi 2017 "Winter Salon" - International Art Centre 2017 "Casaidea" 2017 - Rome Fair 2017 Michetti Museum - Francavilla al Mare 2016 "Italian Dreams"- International Art Centre - Auckland 2016 "MoaCasa Ediz. 2016" - Rome 2016 "La Modella per l'Arte" Hotel Villa Carlotta - Stresa 2016 "Spring Salon" - International Art Centre 2016 Casaidea 2016 - Rome Fair 2016 Artist Salon, International Art Centre 2016 Get Art Museum - Taipei 2015 International Art Centre - Auckland 2015 Italian Art Exhibition - Amalfi 2015 Arte nel palazzo 2015 - Maiori, Palazzo Mezzacapo 2015 International Art Centre - Auckland 2015 X-Power Gallery - Taipei 2015 Art Revolution Taipei 2015 - Taipei 2015 MoaCasa Ediz. 2015 - Rome 2015 Hay Hill Gallery - London 2014 Arte Forlì ediz. 2014 - Modern and Contemporary Art 2014 Moa Casa Ediz. 2014 - Rome 2014 "Summer 2014 Group Show" - Hay Hill Gallery - London 2014 "Winter Salon" - International Art Centre - Auckland 2014 "Confronti" - Palazzo Maglione - Pozzuoli 2014 "Fantasy Garden" - Savoir Art Gallery - Taipei 2014 X-Power Gallery - Taipei 2014 Art Revolution Taipei 2014 - Taipei 2014 Casaidea Ediz . 2014 - Rome 2014 "Acqua - The Art of Water" - International Art Centre 2013 Just Art Gallery - Providence (USA) 2013 Hay Hill Gallery - London 2013 "Luci sull'Arte" - Salerno 2013 Arte Padova Ediz. 2013 2013 "Masters", International Art Centre - Auckland 2013 AMALFI, Museo Arsenale. 2013 "Arte nel palazzo" - Maiori, Palazzo Mezzacapo 2013 "Tra sogno e mito" Positano, Museo del Viaggio 2013 Casaidea Ediz . 2013 - Rome 2013 Arte Fiera 2013 - Genoa 2012 Arte Padova Ediz. 2012 2012 Auditorium "S.
