Magnificent Madonna and Child painting by a disciple of Carlo Dolci, circa 1800–1820. This work is inspired by one of the most famous devotional compositions by Carlo Dolci, painted circa 1660–1670. The original is today housed at the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna (Austria). Loyal to the Florentine tradition, this painting captivates with the delicacy of the faces, the softness of the colors, and the deep serenity that characterize the master's oeuvre. Original oil on canvas, exceptional quality: 86 x 68 cm. Splendid original Florentine frame: 123 x 103 cm. State of conservation: The work is in very good condition. Some light craquelure due to age is to be noted. The canvas has been relined and revised; it requires neither cleaning nor restoration. The antique frame shows some losses and old restorations.
