Superb and refined pewter bas-relief, cast and patinated, depicting in profile an elegant young woman with a wide flowered hat, holding a butterfly on her hand. The work is characterized by meticulous chasing work, enhanced with gold accents on the hat ribbon and colorful faceted rhinestones/cabochons set in the flowers (bouquet and hat). Subject: Feminine allegory / Art Deco or Late Art Nouveau Main material: Pewter (stamped or marked 'ETAIN' on the bottom left) Signature: Signed bottom right by the artist BACHER Framing: Magnificent presentation on a beige textured fabric background resembling wild silk/linen, bordered by an inner gold fillet and an outer frame in tortoiseshell-imitating wood / varnished wood magnifier.
