Candelabrum Louis XV (2) - Bronze - Lamps

They are two candelabra that embody perfectly that exuberant and elegant spirit of the Louis XV style reinterpreted in the first half of the twentieth century, when many European workshops revived the Rococo language for decorative pieces with great presence. Here the gilding —rich, luminous, almost theatrical— unfolds in a play of curves, volutes and vegetal motifs that rise with ease, as if the very structure were animated by an inner movement. Each candelabrum stands on a marble base that adds weight, nobility, and a deliberately sought material contrast in the era: the polished coldness of the stone supporting the gilded fantasy of bronze. The stems, richly decorated, open into sinuous arms that recall stylized branches, crowned by the candle holders turned into points of electric light. The wiring, typical of the mid-twentieth century, betrays that transition between the purely ornamental object and modern functionality, although today it needs to be updated to comply with current regulations and to ensure safe use. The ensemble conveys that gracious Rococo luxury: abundant yet balanced ornamentation, curves that flow without rigidity, a courtly air that does not lose its charm with the passing of time. They are pieces designed to dominate a space, to bring shine and character, and that retain intact their capacity to seduce. Tracked shipping and careful packaging.
