Camille Tharaud – Flat-bodied vase - Limoges porcelain– France, circa 1900/1920. Flat-bodied vase in Limoges porcelain, signed « Camille Tharaud » under the base with vegetal decoration of grapevine leaves in brown tones, Art Nouveau period circa 1900/1920. Camille THARAUD (1878/1956) passionately undertakes research and refinements of grand fire enamels, fired at 1400°C, traveling across France to seek all kinds of minerals and oxides. He will create the first hand-painted decorations on raw enamel on Limoges porcelain. Camille THARAUD remains the globally renowned porcelain maker for his grand-fire decorations and sees his works exhibited in the world's greatest museums.
