(C) JAPANESE NAGOYA TYPE 14 NAMBU SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL. In 1925 the Imperial Japanese Army, followed by their navy in 1927, adopted the Type 14 8mm pistol, commonly just called Nambu, after the Japanese officer chiefly credited with its design. It was built at both Nagoya and Tokyo government arsenals, pre-1937. This early example was produced in October of 1929. It features the smaller trigger guard that was changed in 1939. Blued finish with grooved wood grips. Comes with a spare firing pin and spring. CONDITION: The pistol has all matching numbers, however the magazine does not match. The blue finish is starting to plum in areas on the underside of the barrel. There is pin pricking areas on the blued surfaces. The bore is bright with some corrosion in the grooves.
