Ca. AD 600. A cross pendant composed of four cylindrical garnet arms, each terminating in a gold collar decorated with clusters of granules. The central junction is set with a garnet cabochon in a raised gold collet bordered by twisted wire and granulation. A ribbed suspension loop is attached at the top. Size: 49mm x 30mm; Weight: 8.2g Provenance: Private London collection of an art professional; acquired on the UK and European art markets between 1980s to early 2000s.
