In 1948, the creation of the Hebrew state triggered the first Arab-Israeli war and the exodus of more than 700,000 Palestinians to neighboring countries. What remains today of their towns and villages emptied of their inhabitants? It is to answer this question that I went to Israel: to find and photograph the vestiges of these ghost localities disappeared in the swirl of the 48 war.
