Very Rare First Edition (copy no. XVII of only 35 copies printed on Arches pur chiffon paper) of this important monograph of palae- ethnological and ethnographic studies in a limited edition of only 240 numbered copies, printed on fine paper with plates reproduced in phototype and pochoir. The volume presents the detailed study and documentation of the surveys of the rock paintings of Southern Rhodesia (around Fort Victoria and other sites), curated by Abbé Henri Breuil with the collaboration of Mary E. COMPLETE. Original Limited and Numbered Edition (copy no. XVII of only 35 copies printed on papier Arches pur chiffon and bound in half-leather). Copy with wide margins in very good condition. Elegant and solid editorial binding in brown half-leather with beige boards showing the usual signs of use and age. White flyleaves. The protective transparent plastic dust jacket has been kept (it was removed for the photo to avoid bad reflections). Two ex libris pasted to the front flyleaf.
