Boch Frères - Raymond Chevalier - Vase - 1199 - Earthenware - Vase BFK

This glazed earthenware vase is an authentic creation by the famous Belgian manufacturer Boch Frères Keramis La Louvière, produced during the Art Deco period. The piece features a substantial hand-painted floral decoration showcasing large stylized flowers in soft green, orange and yellow hues, centered with a blue core highlighted by black dots. This pattern stands out against a cream white background and is accompanied by geometric foliage in brown and black shades spread across the entire body. The flared neck as well as the circular pedestal foot receive a solid brown border embellished with discreet golden lines, while two entirely gilded ring-shaped handles flank the upper part. Under the base, the object bears the official black circular stamp of the brand including the mentions Made in Belgium and Fabrication Belge, associated with the model number 1199 incised into the body. The recorded dimensions are 19.5 cm in height, 15 cm in diameter at the neck and 8.5 cm in diameter for the foot. Regarding its condition, the overall structure and the glazed decoration are in good general condition without any chips or cracks, the only wear being located on the handles which show partial gold losses due to regular handling.
