Boch Frères

Authentic ceramic advertising and/or façade tile from the Belgian company Nicolas Colo of Verviers. This company sold, among other things, tiles from the well-known Belgian Boch Frères, La Louvière. This advertising tile was made around 1900. Mr. Colo, a dealer in building materials, lived in the famous Art Nouveau building in Verviers, Maison Bauwens, built in 1909. This original ceramic advertising or façade tile from the building materials dealer Nicolas Colo of Verviers served as a kind of business card or sign to show that his shop was the official representative of the then highly prestigious floor and wall tiles (carrelages) from the Belgian manufacturer Boch Frères of La Louvière.
